SNOHOMISH COUNTY PUD- New Scam

Its been awhile since we have heard about utility scams in our area. However, the Snohomish County PUD is warning everyone about scammers calling people, claiming to be from the PUD, and saying that the victims are eligible for a refund because of an overcharge on their PUD bill. To give you your refund, the scammers ask for your bank account or credit card number.

The PUD says this is a scam. The PUD says that if you are due a refund, they will only contact you if they do not have a legitimate mailing address for you. They will only ask for a mailing address, not a bank account number or a credit card number.
