SNOHOMISH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE- Burglary Alert

 

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office has issued the following warning today on its Facebook page:

Robbery and Burglary Unit (RBU) detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify the suspects below. Over the past two weeks, the Sheriff’s Office has seen an increase in residential burglaries primarily targeting American Indian victims. The burglaries have occurred during daytime hours in unincorporated Bothell, along 35th Ave SE between 180th St SE and 228th St SE. The suspects are believed to be part of a larger organized group that operates throughout the region. Below are photos of the suspects. If you live in this area and have any home surveillance footage of these suspects, please contact our office.

Detectives are encouraging residents to secure valuables and ensure all windows, sliding doors and access points are properly locked. These suspects are believed to be associated with a black early-2000s Mercedes sedan and a newer silver Mercedes SUV with unknown plates (pictured below).

STANWOOD- Burglary Suspects Sought

The North Snohomish County Property Crimes Unit is looking for a male and female couple who broke into a Stanwood home on December 7, 2015.

The couple drove a late 1990’s green Honda Accord.

The male is described as a white, 6’3”, and skinny. The female is white, in her 20’s, and about 5’6”

BURGLARY SUSPECTS- Local Agencies Looking For Suspects

The North Snohomish County Property Crimes Unit is looking for a couple who burglarized a Stanwood home on December 7. They drove a mid-1990’s green Honda Civic. He is white, 6’3” and skinny. She is white, in her 20’s and about 5’6”.  If you know the name of this couple, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). All calls are anonymous and you might be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Meanwhile, Bothell Police are looking for a suspect in an early evening burglary on December 27. The suspect spent a few minutes in the house, when the alarm sounded he quickly left the area. While the pictures from the security video are not the greatest, Bothell police hope that someone can give them a lead on the name of this suspect. The North Snohomish County Property Crimes Unit is looking for Jon ‘Austin’ Summers. Summers has six felony convictions for burglary and trafficking stolen property. He has a Department of Corrections warrant for his arrest. Last week, Arlington police closed in on him at a gas station. He took off in his black Ford F-150 speeding north on I-5.

Summers has ties to Marysville. He is 6ft tall and weighs 280 lbs. His street name is “Speed.”

SNOHOMISH COUNTY: Property Crimes Unit Looking for Prolific Burglar

The North Snohomish County Property Crimes Unit is looking for Jason Mora who is wanted for burglary. He was seen recently in a pawn shop in Arlington pawning a tanzanite and diamond ring valued at $22,000 that possibly was stolen in Mercer Island. He also is wanted for a burglary in Arlington. Mora has eight previous convictions for home burglary.

Mora is 5ft 6in tall and weighs 130 pounds. He has scars on his left calf and left forearm as well as several tattoos including a naked woman, cartoon characters on his arm and letters on his neck.

Mora has been seen in casinos in Tulalip wearing a blond wig. He has a new $150,000 warrant for Attempting to Elude.

LAKE STEVENS- Police Looking for Two Car Prowlers/Burglars

The North Snohomish County Property Crimes Unit is looking for Robert “Robby” Lee Gilleland and Shannon William Fincher for car prowls and burglary.

Both were seen taking a purse from a car at the Lake Stevens dog park on May 8, 2015. Later in the day, they burglarized the car owner’s storage unit. The unit location and passcode was in the purse.

 

 

 

On May 9, they burglarized the Lake Stevens Ace Hardware.

The stolen goods were sold on OfferUpNow.com.

Gilleland is 9” tall, weighs 185lbs and has convictions for Theft in the First Degree and Forgery. Fincher is 5”11” tall, weighs 280lbs and has been convicted for Vehicle Prowling in the first degree. Both are 38 years old. They have been associated with a tan Ford F-150 crew cab.

The North Snohomish County Property Crimes Unit is looking for Monique Weir.

Ms. Weir is wanted for multiple burglaries and trafficking cases. She apparently likes to break into people’s garages and sheds. She will steal what she can and then pawn what she takes.

                     
Detectives believe that she may be in possession of a stolen firearm and she may be in Eastern Washington.

Note: With summer weather on us, we often have projects around the house. Often we leave our garage doors open while we are doing our chores in the back yard. This is an open invitation for a burglar to walk into the garage and take what they want. And if your garage is connected to your house, that burglar can have easy access inside. Keep your garage doors closed and locked, even if you are around the house. And lock any storage sheds that you have on your property.

STANWOOD- Burglary Suspects

Last week the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office issued an alert concerning two burglary suspects in the Stanwood area. Local law enforcement authorities are still looking for them.

According to its press release, on Wednesday, April 22 around 12:34am, a male and a female entered a residence in the 7100 block of 204^th St NW. They ransacked the residence and attempted to take jewelry, cash and other items. After a confrontation between the homeowner and the male suspect, the suspects dropped the stolen items and fled.

The best description is of the male. He is described as Caucasian in his early 20’s, between 5’ 6” and 5’ 8” tall with blonde hair. He wore a yellow hooded sweatshirt and had either pockmarks or acne on his face. The female was described as Caucasian with her hair up in a ponytail.

If you know who this is or see someone with this description in your area, call 911.

Note: Occasionally, there will be burglary attempts overnight on residences. But, as apparently in this case, there is a danger in being confronted by an angry, cranky homeowner. Most burglars do not want a confrontation with anybody so they do their breaking in during the day when most people are at work. No matter the time of day, do be on the lookout for suspicious people in your neighborhood and call 911 to report them to the Sheriff’s Office.

EVERETT- Door-to-door sales

Earlier this week that Everett Police Department was warning people to watch out for a gang of three men and one woman who have been knocking on doors claiming to be vacuum sales contractors.

The police department believes that the group uses the supposed vacuum sales as a ruse to case homes for burglaries. There have been incidents reported by the potential burglars once on October 28 and twice on the weekend of November 1-2.

The suspects drive a maroon 1993 Ford van.

MARTHA LAKE- Burglaries

On Friday, January 10, around 12:30pm a home was burglarized in the vicinity of East Shore Drive in the Martha Lake area. All of the homeowner’s jewelry was taken. The burglars smashed the glass in a door while the burglar alarm was sounding. The owner said that the burglars seemed to know where to look for the jewelry.

Martha Lake Neighborhood Watch members have noticed at least three suspicious people in the area that may be related to the burglary:

1. Two people, a man and woman, associated with a dark gray pickup truck, possibly a small Ford, with an extended cab and trailer hitch.  The woman was described as having shoulder length light brown hair. Both the man and woman appeared to be in their 30’s. The woman was also carrying a white bag/container. The victim noted that their white recycling container was missing.
2. A third person had been seen in the area multiple times. She was described as having blond hair and was between 16-20 years old. She would go around the neighborhood taking pictures of herself (a “selfie” in modern parlance) in front of homes. She was seen on a skateboard, by herself, but did not seem to be an accomplished skateboarder. She was seen in the area in the early morning hours (around 4:15am).

Note: From the description of the incident the burglar(s) probably did not stay long with the burglar alarm going off. They probably have some experience in conducting burglaries in that they made a beeline for the jewelry. Burglars know where most of us store our jewelry, so they just find those places in each home they enter. They also have a sense for where we usually store important documents and cash. A good reason to store these valuables in a hidden safe, bolted to the floor. Keeping your valuables, and guns, in a safe forces the burglar to take too much time to get to your stuff. They probably will pass it by even if they find it. BUT BE SURE TO BOLT IT TO THE FLOOR!

Also, burglars often take advantage of the things in our houses to haul off their loot. They will use your trash bags, waste containers, even your pillow cases. I don’t know of any practical way to avoid this. But, if you are victimized in a burglary, you might also make an inventory of your pillow cases (on your beds) trash containers, etc. If you are missing a pillow case, for example, you can give a description of it to the investigating deputy.

 

GRANITE FALLS- Burglars Show Their Stuff

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two burglars who stole credit cards, several guns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, as well as electronics, jewelry and a checkbook from a Granite Falls home on October 7.

On Tuesday, November 5, the Sheriff’s Office released surveillance footage showing the suspects using the stolen credit cards to make purchases in the amount of $1,500 at the Seattle Premium Outlet in Tulalip.

EVERETT- Everett PD Looking for Burglar Who Broke into House While Owners Were on Vacation

The Everett Police Department is looking for Lee Wallette for taking two rifles, a flat screen TV, a handgun, safe, silver and gold coins and two vehicles from a family’s home while they were on vacation.

Wallette has 15 felony convictions. He is a drug dealer who also sells stolen goods. He is suspected of several burglaries in Snohomish County where guns have been stolen. He operates by loading up the victim’s vehicle with their property and then driving off.

Everett police suspect that he is in the Everett area. He has four tattoos on his face and neck and he is considered armed and dangerous.

Homeowners on vacation provide an excellent opportunity for burglars. To protect your belongings the strategy is to make it look like your home is occupied while you’re gone. 

Remember to ask a trusted friend or neighbor to watch your house while you are gone. Ask them to pick up your mail and newspaper. Or you can also ask the newspaper and Postal Service to hold your newspaper and mail until you return.

Ask your neighbor or friend to mow at least your front yard if you will be gone more than a week or two.

Often, parking a car in your driveway will alert a potential burglar that someone might still be at home.

Put timers on some of your lights to turn them on when you would normally be home to show a burglar checking the neighborhood out at night that you are home.

Please share this important information with others in your Neighborhood Watch group.  Property crime detectives are looking for the burglars depicted in the attached composite sketches. 

The first composite (#0284) is a burglar who on 7/19, about noon, forced his way into an occupied residence on Serene Way in Lynnwood.  Two residents confronted him and he quickly ran out from the rear patio door.  The witnesses said he had a full right arm sleeve tattoo that was of unknown design but blue in color.  He had slight acne on his upper facial cheeks and a several days growth of whiskers.  Additionally, his upper front tooth was crooked. He was wearing a blue/white baseball style cap, white (crew neck) tee shirt and blue jeans.

The other two (#0285 and #0286) composites are a male and female residential burglary team.  The male breaks into the rear of the residence while the female driver remains inside the suspect vehicle (silver, late 90’s Mitsubishi Eclipse) that is parked in the victim’s driveway.  The latest burglary by this duo occurred on 7/20 at about 5:45 p.m. in a multi-apartment complex located on Admiralty Way in Lynnwood. 

If you see any of these suspects, IMMEDIATELY call 911!  Don’t attempt to confront or detain them.  Observe from a safe distance and be a good witness.  If possible, write down information such as license plate numbers or other identifying vehicle marks, decals, etc.  Notice what they are wearing at the time. If they leave the area, make note of their direction of travel.
